Here is the Sample essay of one of most challenging question types: Outweigh question type
Nowadays, people are using more consumer goods like refrigerators or washing machines. Does this have more advantages or disadvantages?
With the passage of time, individuals today have even more variety of goods that they can own and use. Present era is experiencing the ever-increasing consumption of durable goods like TV, fridge and other appliances. Although I certainly believe that it holds numerous pros, I cannot overlook the cons it has.
Undoubtedly, indulgence in ownership and use of consumable items is proving quite lucrative to the global economies as it not only boosts the work prospects, especially for those who are directly hired for making of such products ,but it also ensures the continuous flow of money into the markets, where they are regularly bought and sold.
Nevertheless, the disastrous impacts it puts on the environment and society can not be ignored. Firstly, such a trend promotes environmental degradation at an alarming rate because in the desire to own newly launched gadgets in the market, people do not bother to optimally utilize their existing possessions that end up either in landfills or are found in the form of stacks of trash. The end result is land pollution which threatens the purety of eco- system. Secondly, with the aim to have ownership of distinct appliances, people are working tirelessly which is making them money-oriented and they are always found warried about the higher standard of living they want to achieve. Finally, materialism in people and disturbance in the ecology ultimately disrupt the prosperity and health of the societies since much of their efforts are being drained in the wrong direction.
To conclude, I would like to reiterate that there are many factors that can add up to the economy of countries rather than just relying on the sale of consumer goods but ecology and peace, once compromised can not be revived to their original forms. Hence, it is more harmful as a whole, not only for the present but for future too.
